I have been sick for twenty two years and was diagnosed with Lupus twenty years ago. I take multiple medications every day which cause different side effects. I had no appetite and was plagued with constant nausea.

I started searching for something I could eat that would soothe my stomach, yet was not too sweet or too "fatty" and was dairy-free, but that still tasted good.

I tried a bag of St. Amour's Lemon & Vanilla Rocks n Rolls cookies. They had just the right amount of sweetness and natural lemon flavor, and best of all was that they soothed my stomach.

I took the bag of Rocks n Rolls to my Doctor for his opinion, since he monitors my diet. He liked the fact that there were no artificial ingredients or preservatives in the cookies. He gave me his approval as long as I eat them in moderation.

That was over fifteen years ago and I still eat some every day.

I have tried all the different varieties of Rocks n Rolls and enjoy them all, but my favorite is still the Lemon & Vanilla.

I am thankful for St. Amour and their wonderful cookies. They truly are my "comfort" food and help make each day a little better.

St. Amour, Inc was founded in 1993 by Susan and Daniel Nicolas.

The ROCKS N’ ROLLS cookies were Daniel’s Childhood cookies and the name of the cookies was put together by Susan on the very same day they decided to start a food related business as both are avid foodies.

The ROCKS N’ ROLLS’ name takes roots in these cookies very own Mediterranean history and was put together by Susan.

In Daniel’s extended family women made these cookies on Sundays at the local bakery, which had a brick oven. They would roll little amounts of dough in the palm of their hands and form little rings . But when they got fed up with making rings they would just throw little blobs of dough on the sheet-pans, hence the rocks. Daniel’s mother would take out half the sugar the recipe called for so his dad who was diabetic could have them too. Kids ate them dunked in their 'café au lait' in lieu of cereals, which did not exist back then in Daniel’s native country .

That day, in 1993 while sitting at the dinning room table Daniel said to his wife.

– “Find me a name for these cookies. I am designing the logo right now.”

Without hesitation Susan replied

- “ Well, some are made like Rings and some are made like Rocks….

ROCKS N’ ROLLS” and that was it.

They were quickly established in then emerging Natural and specialty Foods markets through out California and in 2003 were SELECTED to be featured in the WeightWatcher’s COMPLETE FOOD COMPANION book, Bible so to speak of people on a Weight Watch.
